Metallum Holding S.A. is a holding company founded in 2007, with headquarters in Luxembourg.Several companies that primarily recycle and process non-ferrous metals are part of the group, that is active worldwide and is divided into the two sectors foundries/smelters and trade/recycling.

Joining two brands for comprehensive know-how

Metallo and Metallum, but also the well-established trade names of the subsidiaries, are standing for comprehensive know-how and wealth of experience and expertise. Metallo is a Belgian brand and company with over 90 years of experience in refining metal, claiming for itself to be a zero-waste-producer re-creating raw materials out of scrap. The Metallum Group is a Swiss holding company that has been founded 1948 to be nowadays one of the biggest metal recycling and trading companies in Switzerland with locations in Europe and the Middle East.

Market leader in the non-ferrous metal sector

With its brands the Metallum Holding S.A. is omnipresent on the European recycling and raw metal markets and in market leader position in the non-ferrous metals sector. The Group recycles, processes and sells about 1,000,000 tonnes of metals annually. Of these, approximately 60% fall in the copper sector, 20% in the aluminium sector and 20% are iron and other metals. The Group employs approximately 1,000 people.
