Dirk Vandenberghe has joined Belgium-based Metallo-Chimique N.V. as new CEO

Dirk Vandenberghe has joined Belgium-based Metallo-Chimique N.V. (part of the Metallum Group) as new CEO.

He spent 20 years at Arcelor,where his last assignment was as General Manager of Arcelor Mittal Tailored Blank, a group of 11 plants spread throughout Europe, Asia and the USA, with an annual turnover of 400M$ and employing approximately 700 people.

In 2009 he was appointed President of Unilin, a producer of laminate floors, turning over more than 250M$ and employing 900 people.

Vandenberghe will lead Metallo into a new era of ambitious projects, supporting its strong global competitive position in the recycling and refining of complex non ferrous scraps, residues and wastes.
